We offer a wide range of fixing options for your outdoor litter bins that are each designed to meet a specific requirement:
Free-standing litter & recycling bins
Ground fixing bolts - probably the simplest method of fixing a bin; we will supply three (for round bins) or four (square bins) anchor bolts for fixing to an existing concrete foundation, paving slabs, or both. Simply drill through the pre-prepared holes in the base of your bin according to the supplied instructions, drive the anchor bolt in and tighten the supplied nut with a spanner until the fixings are secure.Concrete-in anchor (adjustable depth) - for siting your bin where a fresh concrete base is being laid, concrete-in anchors provide additional strength and security. A recommended size of 480 x 480 x 400mm will be required for the base, and the supplied anchors are set securely into the concrete. Removable fixing screws ensure the bin can be moved later.
Flush ground fixing - the flush ground fixing method works on a similar principle to the adjustable depth anchors. A fixed metal bracket stands in the hole and concrete is back-filled to secure it in place. Unlike the adjustable depth anchors, however, the flush ground fixing bracket doesn't leave any part above ground level. The lack of potential trip hazard makes flush ground fixing the best choice for locations where the bin will need to be frequently removed.
Ballast - designed for use where permanent fixing is undesirable or impractical. An internal ballast fills the base of the bin with either concrete or sand to a weight between 10kg and 40kg. External ballast varies in materials depending on the individual bin, but will use a pre-cast plinth of concrete, metal or recycled polymer. Both methods of ballast lend additional stability to a bin without the need for permanent fixing.
Ground-Lock™ Fixing System - the Ground-Lock fixing system allows you to secure a bin to soft ground without any additional ground works. The Ground-Lock anchor is driven into the ground with a mallet until it sits flush with the surface. The re-usable installation tool is used to activate the barb, which permanently secures the Ground-Lock into the earth. Once the fixing is secure, simply screw the bin to the pre-drilled fixing points in the Ground-Lock. (An additional reinforcing plinth may be required for enhanced stability).
Wall- and post-mounting litter & dog waste bins
Wall- & post-mounting fixings - simple brackets that allow the bin to be permanently screwed to a wall, post or both, depending on the bin.
Extended base post fixing system - A below-ground permanent fixing method with a flat base; stand the extended post in a freshly dug hole and backfill with concrete.
Ground-Lock Fixing System - see above. For post-mounting bins, the system includes an Armortec™ coated steel post.
Lamp column adaptor - allows post-mounting bins to be fitted to certain types of lamp post where the post diameter varies between the top and bottom of the bin. The adaptor ensures that the bin's fixings are kept clear of the electrical access cover.
