Circus Starr are a unique social enterprise with a special mission. First established in 1987, Circus Starr provide accessible touring circus events for children with disabilities and children, families and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
And the tickets to this circus are free.
By raising money through donations from local businesses, Circus Starr give free tickets to charities and community groups which are local to the donating businesses.
The company also raise money through performance sponsorships and cash donations. These additional funds are then distributed to over seventy different charities nationwide each year.
On behalf of Glasdon, the Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee recently donated to enable 10 local children with disabilities to go to the circus.
The children will be treated to a thrilling big top performance featuring the Circus Starr troupe of artistes which includes Chico Rico the Mexican Clown, the Tangier Brothers on the “Space Wheel” and the Serik Brothers on Chinese straps and pole.
Circus Starr also accept requests for free tickets from carers and mentors who may wish to nominate a child or family they work with or know.
