Sherwood™ Litter Bins in Highgate Wood

Highgate Wood is a 70 acre area of ancient woodland in North London. Originally part of the prehistoric Forest of Middlesex that covered much of London, Hertfordshire and Essex, the Wood has been managed by the City of London Corporation since 1886 and is home to hundreds of ecologically significant species of trees, birds, bats and spiders.

When Declan O'Brien, the City of London's Supervisor at the Wood, was looking to replace existing litter bins, he turned to Glasdon. The Sherwood Litter Bin with Hooded Top offers the low maintenance benefits of polymer and its realistic timber grain ensures that the bins blend into the environment.

Mr. O'Brien said, "The staff find them easier to empty as the liners are much lighter, helping with manual handling.

"We have had nothing but good feedback and comments from our users saying the area is much cleaner in the mornings because the vermin haven't been able to get the rubbish out at night and spread it around. This has helped us reduce man hours spent litter picking every day.

"The service of the company and rep were excellent."

Sherwood Litter Bins are available in Light or Dark Wood with Hooded Tops. To talk to us about your requirements, please call +44 1253 600 435 or email gil@glasdon.com today.
