We all love a good cuppa here at Glasdon. So when the #worldsbiggestcoffeemorning for Macmillan Cancer arrived, it was a big thumbs up from us.
So much so, the kettles went on and cakes and cookies were lovingly baked to raise money across the whole week and in the run up to the big brew up itself on Friday 30th September.
And with the pledge from the Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee that every single penny raised by staff would be matched, the challenge was on to make sure there wasn’t a single crumb left by Friday afternoon!
Challenge accepted. Challenge completed. Together we raised £700!
It is projected that by 2030 there will be 4 million people living with cancer in the UK.
Macmillan’s ambition is to be able to help every single person living with cancer, providing them with medical, emotional, practical and financial support and ensuring no one faces cancer alone.
